While working at FITFLOP, I had a great chance to be a part of the Shooting Stars Benefit 2011 from start to end of the project – Discover, Design, Develop, Deploy. The project was made of three stages – introduction, event and follow up.
For the 1st stage, I had to build a web site that would promote the event and allow users from UK and USA to register for winning a VIP ticket. When the VIP lottery came to an end, I implemented a cool javascript countdown so people would know when the tournament is about to start.
For the 2nd stage, I added a twitter feed to the web site so people could know what is going on during the event, who is winning, etc.
For the 3rd stage, I added a fancy jquery carousel to the web site that would display some of the best pictures from the event.
Overall, I had a lot of fun working on the Shooting Stars Benefit 2011 and I am looking forward to more projects like that…
